Question:How tall is it between each shelf approximately?
Answer:Mine are 13 13/16" to 13 7/8" from the top of one shelf to the bottom of the next one up.
Question:can 3 shelves be on the same level ?
Answer:No. The holes are predrilled and the shelves overlap the the frame so you can’t make level shelves.
Question:how much weight shelves can take, i have heavy books?
Answer:The shelves are very sturdy 👍🏼.
Question:Can 2 standing shelves be left off of the unit so it isn’t as wide? It’s to wide for the area I need it for but I love it
Answer:It is 3 separate towers that are connected by using the shelves between them. You could technically just use two of the towers connected with the shelves between, but you would have to leave the cross brace off of the back. Note that if you leave the cross brace off, you may not have the stability you need.
Question:Does this shelving unit have any smell? Dud you need to let it offgas before you used it?
Answer:No, as far as I can remember, it does not have a scent. If You are sensitive to scents maybe you should let it air out just in case. But for me it did not have a scent.
Question:Can I choose to not put in one or two shelves? Or are they permanently attached.
Answer:Yes, you could leave shelves out. When you are putting it together, you just don't insert those shelves. It's actually a super sturdy and cool looking shelving unit.
